Celebrities who took big corporations to court and won

Celebrities are often the subject of lawsuits and public scandals, but there have also been moments when A-list stars have pushed back against major corporations and media outlets to defend their reputations and careers. Back when they were one of Hollywood’s biggest couples, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie sued the British tabloid News of the World after it reported that the pair were divorcing and negotiating custody arrangements for their children. The story quickly spread across other outlets, but the couple strongly denied the allegations. Pitt and Jolie ultimately won the case, with the newspaper agreeing to publish an apology and pay the couple damages and legal costs. Kate Winslet took similar legal action after the Daily Mail published an article accusing her of exaggerating how little she exercised to stay in shape following her Oscar win for ‘The Reader.’ The paper claimed that Winslet was being dishonest after she previously spoke about not having time for the gym, while also mentioning that she did home workouts. Winslet argued that the article twisted her comments and unfairly portrayed her as a hypocrite, saying she felt “distressed and embarrassed” by the claims. She won the lawsuit, with the Daily Mail later issuing an apology and agreeing to pay her damages and legal fees. In 2012, Princess Kate sued the French edition of Closer Magazine after it published topless photos of her, taken during a private holiday with Prince William. The British royal family described the images as a serious invasion of privacy and compared the publication’s treatment of Kate to the intense media harassment faced by the late Princess Diana. The court ruled in favor of the couple, ordering the defendants to pay €100,000 in damages, along with additional fines for the publication’s editor and editorial director. Scarlett Johansson sued Disney in 2021 over the release of ‘Black Widow,’ claiming the studio breached her contract by releasing the film simultaneously in theaters and on their streaming service, Disney+. Johansson argued that the decision affected box office bonuses tied to her contract. Disney denied any wrongdoing, but the dispute sparked a very public back-and-forth between the actor and the studio. The case was eventually settled for an undisclosed amount, with Johansson later saying she was happy that both sides had resolved their differences.

Celebrities who have twin siblings you never knew about

It’s wild to think that some of the biggest names in Hollywood have lookalikes who could pass for their twin, and in some cases, they actually do have one who's played a major role in their lives. Here are some stars who share a birthday with their sibling… Take Rami Malek. Fans were stunned when he showed up to the 2019 Golden Globes with his identical twin brother, Sami. The pair keep things pretty private, but Rami once revealed that he stepped in for his brother during a college assignment, delivering a Greek monologue in his place. It’s a glimpse into how close they’ve always been, despite Rami’s rise to stardom. Scarlett Johansson also shares a tight bond with her twin brother, Hunter, who lives a much quieter life. While she’s built a steady career in Hollywood, he has focused on activism, including launching a nonprofit to bring solar power to fire stations in Puerto Rico. Then there’s Kiefer Sutherland, who grew up alongside his twin sister Rachel. While he became a household name on screen for his role as Jack Bauer in ‘24,’ Rachel built her career behind the camera in television production. Despite taking different paths, they’ve remained incredibly close. And for Ashton Kutcher, his twin brother Michael has had a profound impact on his life. After facing serious health challenges as a child, Michael later became an advocate for people with disabilities. Ashton admitted that when his career took off, he felt guilty about his brother’s struggles, but Michael shut that down, telling the ‘That ‘70s Show’ star to stop feeling sorry for him, a moment that completely shifted Ashton’s perspective in a lasting way.

‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ then & now: Where is the cast today

If you’re still laughing over awkward encounters and cringe-worthy moments from ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’, you’re not alone. The long-running improv comedy, created by Larry David, has kept fans hooked since its debut in 2000, with David playing an exaggerated version of himself navigating everyday disasters with painfully funny results. She has appeared in projects such as ‘RV,’ ‘Waitress,’ and ‘The Ugly Truth.’ She’s also maintained a high-profile life in Washington, DC, thanks in part to her husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who was appointed US Secretary of Health and Human Services in 2025. Jeff Garlin, known for his role as Jeff Greene, also served as an executive producer on the series. Garlin has built an extensive career across TV and film, appearing in the hit comedy series ‘The Goldbergs’ while also lending his voice to major animated films, including Pixar’s ‘WALL-E’ and the ‘Toy Story’ franchise. And then there’s Susie Essman, who played the fiery Susie Greene. 37 years later, it became a hit again - the strange power of Kate Bush

What starts as the story of one viral song quickly becomes a deeper exploration of why Kate Bush has remained so culturally powerful for nearly half a century. Long before “Running Up That Hill” exploded again through Stranger Things, Bush had already built a reputation as one of pop music’s most inventive and uncompromising artists — blending theatrical storytelling, experimental production, literary themes, and cutting-edge technology into songs that sounded unlike anything else on the radio. After early fame nearly overwhelmed her, Bush retreated from the pressures of celebrity into the English countryside, where she built her own studio and created music entirely on her own terms. The video explores how “Running Up That Hill” captured something strangely timeless: a longing for connection, escape, understanding, and emotional transformation that continues resonating across generations. And nearly 40 years after its original release, the song’s return to the charts proved something incredibly rare in pop music — Kate Bush wasn’t simply nostalgic. She was timeless.
