'WHO'S THE BOSS?' CHILD STAR DANNY PINTAURO DRIVING FOR AMAZON

Danny Pintauro is getting candid about what life really looks like after child stardom and it’s far from glamorous.

The former Who’s the Boss ? star recently shared an Instagram selfie from his current gig delivering packages for Amazon Flex, opening up about the reality of trying to rebuild an acting career in a struggling industry, reports Today.com .

Sitting in his car surrounded by deliveries, the 50-year-old actor didn’t sugarcoat things.

Harsh reality check

“Working hard while ‘not working.’ The entertainment business has been soooo slow,” he wrote. “I’ve been doing what a lot of people do — figuring it out, showing up, and taking the work that’s there while I keep building the work I really want. 38 packages today! There’s no shame in staying in motion.”

Pintauro, who played Jonathan Bower across all eight seasons of the hit sitcom, says returning to Hollywood after a decade away has been a wake-up call.

Speaking to Fox News Digital , he explained just how much the industry has changed and not for the better.

“Returning to acting after a 10-year break has meant stepping back into an industry that looks very different than it once did,” he said. “There are fewer projects being made, and a trickle-down effect … is cutting many actors off from what work there is …”

Even having a recognizable name hasn’t helped much

“Having a recognizable name does not automatically come with work or financial security, so it feels a bit like I’m starting over,” he added, per Fox News Digital , noting most of his income over the past 15 years has come from residuals “far less substantial than people often assume.”

His side hustle comes at a time when film and TV production in Los Angeles is slowing down significantly. According to The Hollywood Reporter , rising costs and better tax incentives elsewhere are pushing productions out of California, with officials now considering boosting tax credits to keep projects local.

‘No one sees me’

For Pintauro, the Amazon Flex job is practical. It offers flexibility so he can still audition and a bit of anonymity, too, per Today.com .

“I take a picture and walk away. No one sees me,” he said, adding that fans online often joke they’d love to have him show up at their door with a package.

“I would be on cloud nine if I opened my door and it was you lol those customers better be appreciative!!!” one user said, per the Daily Mail , while another chimed, “I would faint if I opened the door and you were standing there.”

Pintauro starred alongside Tony Danza, Judith Light, Alyssa Milano and the late Katherine Helmond on the beloved ABC sitcom that ran from 1984 to 1992.
