It looks like Vancouver’s Ryan Reynolds will be donning the top-grossing Deadpool suit once again.
On July 19 at Fanatics Fest 2026 in New York, Reynolds , taking part in The Art of Deadpool panel, confirmed that the Merc with a Mouth will be coming back to movie screens.
“There’s a few really deep cuts I think are missing from the movies. I think there’s a few deep cuts from some of the comics … There’s stuff upcoming. There eventually will be another Deadpool,” Reynolds told the crowd, which erupted into cheers.
The film would follow 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine, which became the top-grossing R-rated movie of all time collecting over $1.3 billion globally. That film followed 2016’s Deadpool and 2019’s Deadpool 2, which were also massive box office successes and were both filmed in Vancouver.
Reynolds didn’t expand further on the idea or offer any hints as to whether it would be a solo Deadpool film or another box office busting partnership like Deadpool & Wolverine. He also didn’t offer up any possible filming locations, so Hollywood North will just have to wait and see if Reynolds is feeling nostalgic and wants to bring Deadpool back to his old stomping grounds.
